Rick and Scott

This is absolutely not new. I have shared this concept over the last hundred years for anybody that would take the time to listen. That said, I believe this may be the way to put iFindExperts on the map.  This is my proposal:

·         You guys keep moving forward with the attorney expert side of iFE.

·         Keep stop worrying about more money and all that stuff. Just work the plan. I know you already have some clients on both sides of the equation.

·         Let me help you get some commission type sales people that can really work a crowd. I mentioned a couple this morning:

o   Culesa (big tongan dude in finance

o   Mike Dixon – mario’s nephew, attorney and all around wiz kid

o   Jorge Gatica- fine, very large Mexican that lost his shorts in real estate and finance the same time you did

o   Robert Gardner, a youngster in real estate that has great ideas and even greater aspirations.

o   Others, including any family members like Dave and Dan that might want to play

I keep looking at start-up companies and they all struggle with the same problem – start-up money. It wasn’t long ago that you were starting up JCI with a dime in your pocket and a dream in your heart. You knew you could do it so you did; Kind of the Little Red Hen story. You just kept punching until things happened. I have seen so many dreams dashed because people gave ups.

You guys know your desires better than anyone else. My father (your grandfather Jacobs) used to tell the two stories. One was when he would take me up to the turnoff just to the side of a small vega and say, “Duane, see that vega? I don’t want much. Just that vega and everything that adjoins it. The second story he used to tell was about a well he needed on the Cordes Junction property. The property was split by the highway going to Prescott. A culvert big enough to drive his truck through went under the road, but there was no water on the East half across the road. He brought in an old drunk named Blaske and had him witch for a well on the East half. The whole county laughed him to scorn because everyone knew there was no water there. They weren’t nearly as scornful after he brought in the best well in that area of the county.

I feel very strongly that whatever phase you have plugged in for education needs to be run parallel with the legal section. I see it so clearly in my mind and that is what I spent last night dreaming about. Whatever it is and whatever it is called it would be 100 percent yours. We could send these same “sales” gurus out to find both students and mentors. They would be from every sector of the learning scale. They would sell their expertise in the form of video, games, group-interactive remote sequences, paper structures, etc. They would retain their intellectual property rights, etc. We would build up resources through the company and share them in the same manner. If something wasn’t good it wouldn’t “sell”. If it was great the author/owner and IFE would make a boatload of money from a modest commission.

Well, that’s what I would do if I were a couple of young, dashing, fellows trying to create something important.
