Animal Farm
August 25, 2013
For those who can’t remember, or never heard of Animal Farm,
George Orwell crafts an allegory in which pigs become supreme rulers of a farm,
create a system of their own, teach that all creatures (non-human) are equal,
and life goes swimmingly. Interestingly, the comparative effects with Hitler and
his communist allies become freakishly clear as soon as greed and jealousy
become the true guiding principles of this colony. The principle of equality is
changed to all creatures are equal, some are just more equal than others; thus,
building in marvelous benefits for the “ruling class”.
I was asked this week why I didn’t just kick back and enjoy
retirement to which I replied that when we stop dreaming, stop thinking, stop
trying to make things just a little better for our family, and our country, we
die. I didn’t say it, but first we die mentally and spiritually, then our
bodies just crawl in behind our dead minds and we are gone from this mortal
sphere. My job as I see it Michael is to tell everyone I know about this great
country. To let everyone know that we live in a time and place unlike any
other. We have freedoms to believe in God, to not believe in God, enjoy
expressing our love of country, to show our complete and total distain of our
country. We honor and respect the rights of those who believe differently to
express their points of view.
This freedom comes with a price tag. We must hold our
leaders responsible for and to the same things. In recent months some of the
Animal Farm mentality has come to light with special gifts for some classes of
people, with spying, phone tapping, obfuscation, lying, deception, malfeasance
of office, and other insidious manipulations. Religious beliefs have been
called into question, high officials and elected officials of all parties have
supported, or tacitly held a blind eye to all things beneficial to them. This
must stop.
I watch in horror as my generation, my children, and my
grandchildren lose their history, their understanding of right, and their
desire to honor those who have gone before; who have lived and died protecting
these God given rights. I am no longer interested in political party
affiliation. I am interested in doing my part in using my freedom to help our
leaders understand that they work for us. We will not become a police state. We
will not have another “force” bigger and better than the military” become our
big brother; we will not help to create a sea of blood in our country which
pits citizen against citizen.
I say God bless America. God bless all of His Children. Help
us to love each other, love, god, and love ourselves enough to stand for what
this great American experiment is all about.
God bless each of us as we lovingly, without fear of
retribution, help in whatever way we can to return our country to the
principles which have made it great.

United States Citizen, and friend
